How Do I configure SSO and CircleIn?

Overview

This article describes how to configure SSO with CircleIn and the attributes that your institutions Identity Provider (IdP) needs to send to CircleIn.

Step 1: Send IdP Metadata to CircleIn

Ask your IT team for the IdP metadata XML or URL. Send this information to your CircleIn Implementation Consultant or support agent. Once we have configured things on our side, we will respond with the CircleIn SP Metadata.

Step 2: Configure IdP with CircleIn SP Metadata

Your Implementation consultant will provide you with the SP metadata URL. It will be in form below, where SCHOOL-NAME will be replaced with a unique value for your institution.

Give this Metadata to your IT team along with the list of attributes requested by CircleIn. They will configure the Identify Provider and provide

Step 3: Test User Authentication

Working with your Implementation Consultant, provision several admin, student, and student accounts along with enrollments.

You will be able to test authentication at this point. SSO will be configured for both of the following applications.
